From the serenity
of Yame to London.
I was born in Yame, Fukuoka — one of Japan's most renowned tea-producing regions.
Growing up with grandfathers who were tea farmers, the aroma of brewing tea and the gentle sound of the water were naturally woven into the fabric of my daily life.
In the deep mountains of Japan, tradition, craftsmanship, and profound flavours have been passed down through generations. Yet today, this beautiful culture is quietly fading. I felt a calling to bring this essence to London.
Shibaku means "to strike some tea."

From the oldest organic farm

The tea we bring to you is sourced directly from a family farm in the mountains of Yame. They have been practising organic farming for 56 years — long before "organic" became a global trend.
Out of the many tea farmers in Yame, only six produce certified organic tea. Among them, this farm holds the oldest history.
